It's impossible to tell for certain since the work was done 11 months and nearly 8,000 miles ago but all I know is that the rear cam timing wasn't right when I took it to John. One of the obvious signs of that was a rough idle. John picked up on it immediately and I noted that rough idle as soon as the work was originally done but the original shop told me that it was normal for a 3.2L NSX to have a slightly rough idle like mine did.
I don't know that John is rescuing me, per se, but he is putting the car in the correct state of tune that I originally dropped a boat load of $ to have done.
John is way inconvenient for me (I'm all the way down in Dana Point) but I really liked meeting him at NSXPO and now after this experience I'll highly recommend him and his guys. They've been very informative, very patient, and very helpful.
