Hello everyone:

Oh my God it has been a Month already...

It is time for the Monthly Meeting again! As you may remember we have moved our meeting to the FIRST Thursday of the month. That means the meeting is THIS Thursday March 2nd!

This month we are meeting back at South Coast Acura (SCA) in Costa Mesa!

I checked with Adam & Steve at SCA and he was very happy to have us back.

I Spoke to Adam today and he told me that he has arranged for BREMBO to come and talk about their Brake Systems for the NSX at this meeting!   I know it is rather late notice but I think we will have a break in the weather:rolleyes: so we can all get together. We had a GREAT turnout last month and I think this will be a GREAT meeting with lots of good information on the premier braking systm for our cars! The dealership is also going to provide GREAT FOOD, and as usual SCA will be providing premier parking.

So let's plan on meeting at South Coast Acura at 6:30 PM.

South Coast Acura is located at 2925 Harbor Bl. in Costa Mesa. This is about 3/4 mi. South of the 405 (San Diego) freeway on Harbor Bl. Just past Baker Street. On the Right.

Remember that they will block off the front of the store so there should be lots of parking available!

I will need an accurate count of how many will be attending so I can figure out how much food to buy. I am guessing about 20 or so. If there will be more I need to know!

Drop me an email ASAP if you think you can make it, so I have an idea how many to expect so we can make dinner arrangements accordingly.

To reach me on the day itself, call me on my cell at (714) 330-6563.

Hope to see you there! Let me know!
Thanks

I'll try, I don't get in from MCO until 4:30 PM, cutting it close to make it.

Steve,

Just found out that I have to go to my daughters' science fair on Thursday. You guys have fun.

I have heard the Brembo presentation twice anyway. It kills me to want something that I can't afford. :frown: I hate to become obsess with Brembo and started going through their trash every night. Their office is a mile away from mine... may be I should.

I'd really like to hear the Brembo presentation but my NSX is in John Martin's capable hands getting a couple of goodies installed.

 Dude - drive another car, there is no rule stating that you MUST drive your NSX.

The week after I bought my car, I had it into another local shop where I proceeded to drop some serious coin having the timing belt, water pump, hoses, gaskets, etc. all done. The previous owner swore he had done all recommended maintenance but didn't keep very good records. I wanted to be extra safe. Unfortunately for me (and now I feel like a dumbass) I trusted these guys to do me right and it turns out the timing belt was never set right. My car always idled a bit rough and this original shop swore it was "normal" for an NA2 car...

A week ago, I took my car into John Martin because my car never had the ECU update done that the factory recommended (free of charge) and it was time for an oil/filter change. John instantly noticed that the timing was off. And there's the difference between a great NSX resource and a good one.

Luckily, there's no permanent damange. I had a bit of carbon build up but compression, and vacuum all look great.

So... while the car's there... I'm having the climate control fan fixed, the window regulators cleaned/lubed, a Cantrell AIS installed and a couple of other things.

After talking with John quite a bit, I also decided to order the NSX-R chassis bars and take advantage of the SOS group buy on the harness bar. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to take the car back to John to have those things done but I hope that John is even half right about how much more rigid these changes will make the car (esp. with the roof panel off).

I know but IMO, it would kind of like going to prom by yourself. It can be done... but do you really want to do that?

So what you are saying is that you dropped serious dime and trust the person to ahem.........you know who to get the job right BUT didn't? ...and John is recuein' you.

btw...plenty of peep comes out even if they didn't have an NSX.

Very cool. I'd like to meet some local owners and get some tips/feedback in my search for my first. Any idea what time I'd have to leave the LAX area to be there by 6:30? I'm thinking 405 traffic might be prohibitive.

5pm should do it :D stay on the left lane... slow people seems to think they are fast and stick to the fast lane:tongue:

As many of you might have notice, I had sold off a few items from my car. (Suspension, Spoiler, CE28N)
It is in the shop to get them all taken off and put the stockers back on, plus a couple new items that needed body shops attention. They claim it will be done today by 4:00PM:cool: , if so, than I will be there:biggrin: , if not,:frown:
