Hello Everyone:

I know I have don a lousy job setting up the monthly dinner meetings (which used to be held the second Thursday of the month in Orange County). It has been soo long since the last meeting I can't remember when it was.

After reading a thred on the Southwest Forum of NSX Prime I learned that a new store is opening in Stanton. The store is a Super Autobacs. The Autobacs name may be familiar to anyone who follows the Japan Touring Car racing seies as Autobacs is a major sponsor of one of the NSX's that races there!

This store could be a source for lots of JDM parts for the NSX!!

Located just infront of the new store (which will not open for a month or so) is a Red Robin restaraunt. I have arranged with them to have a group of NSX owners there on Thursday July 10th at 7:00 til we get tired.

The resaraunt is located at 12697 Beach Bl. in Stanton. This is just north of the 22 (Garden Grove) freeway on Beach Bl. On the Left.

As Autobacs is not open yet there is PLENTY of parking available.

I will need an accurate count of how many will be attending so I can arrange a proper size table.

Drop me an email ASAP if you think you can make it, so I have an idea how many to expect so we can make dinner arrangements accordingly.

To reach me on the day itself, call me on my cell at (714)330-6563.

I hope a lot of you decide to come and check this out. I hope to talk about how to have more reguarly scheduled meetings (and where) and how to get together with all the NSX owners in the So Cal area. I also hope to talk about NSXPO which is coming up in October!

Hope to see you there! Let me know!
Thanks!

Hi Steve,

I was going to email you about our usual monthly dinner meeting but I guess you read my mind. I think you should remind everyone that this is a official NSXCA montly meeting rather than just a gathering. I hope that we can go back to our normal schedule of having once a month meeting.

Jay

p.s. You have my full spport if you need any help.

I'm in. So close to me! :D

Calvin,
Make it a 100% commitment of being there.
Bring the wife and if her water breaks, I'll deliver your baby for you on the spot! ;)

sounds good to me.
this would be a great opportunity to discuss the whole noc/cal coastal thing.
do we have to be nsxca members??

Thursday???

Y not Friday or Saturday?

Thursday would be tough for most of us in the SD area (who have jobs) to make it....Friday or Saturday would be a much better turn out...Sorry but I can't do Thursdays.....

Thanks Joel....lets keep it to the expert!!! NOT NSX expert, but the bonified doctor expert :D

Historically this meeting was advertised as an NSXCA meeting.

HOWEVER , the attendance to the meetig was NEVER limited to NSXCA members. I have purposely NOT called this an NSXCA meeting (even though I am the SW region rep. for the club) to make sure that everyone will know that EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

The short answer to your question is, NO!

As for having the meeting on the weekend...
We asked around and more people had other things planed on the weekends (can you say "Honey-Do's and family events"?) than during the week. That is not to say that if more people now feel that weekend meetings are better we can certainly change it.

Sounds like we will have a good turnout for this meeting!

Looking forward to seeing/meeting all of you:)

Steve,

Can't make it on the 10th. I'll be out of town.

Regarding meeting locations, we'd probably better off having 3 chapters, LA, OC, SD separate as it is and may be once every 3 months we can meet with the LA group or SD group in between.

I do like the idea of meeting on the weekends. May be we can do breakfast instead of dinner. I think people are probably more willing to travel a little bit farther on a Saturday or Sunday morning then during rush hours on a weekday.

Or have dinner on thurdays for 2 months with your own county group. On the third month, make it a Saturday or Sunday breakfast. One county will host a meet inviting all 3 counties. May be a drive if time permits. I'll bet that'll bring more people to these big quarterly meetings.

What do you think?

Amen to that! Nothing like an NSX agenda first thing in the morning!

I'll be there this Thursday.

Where are you guys meeting? I get off work at 8pm, but I would at least like to stop by to meet some of you guys and check out your rides.

Hey Everyone,

Looks like we will have a good turnout for the meeting this thursday!

So far I have 20+ :D

If you are not sure where the meeting is or how to get there , be sure to re-read the first post in this thread ;)

C Dub:

As usual, you have very good ideas!

I will work with your idea at the meeting and see if we can get it off the ground. The only thing I worry about is getting the people to set up the meetings.

We will let everyone know on this forum after the meeting.

Thanks again:cool:
