Last October I bought a 91 NSX. It had 6,800 Original miles on it. I love the NSX. Anyway being tens years old and buying it from a Mercedes Dealer, I thought it would be best to get it fully serviced, I did not want any surprises. I took it to a recomended Acura Dealer. I had all the fluids flushed and blead, filters changed, valves adjusted, timing belt replaced along with the water pump. I could not believe how carelessly they treated my NSX; they did not put in the disposable mats, the mechanic had his pesonal keys, about twenty of them, on a chain an put them in my consol, scratching my factory phone up. But the topper is they dented and scratched my drivers side sill plate. They said they would take care of it. Five months later they say they can't get the stamping duplicated. Hence I called Acura Customer Service. They told me it was against state law and that they could not reproduce this item with the stamping. Gee I wonder how he knew what state I lived in. Anyway customer service, Not! My question is, does anybody know how to get the sill plate stamped like the original? Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of replacing the sill plate, maybe you could have it restored. You could find someone who straightens trim on classic cars that would be able to fix the dent and scratches with no problem. The wheel opening mouldings on my 68 Coronet (RIP) needed straightning and I was quoted a dollar an inch. I've seen it go from a mangled piece of aluminum to showroom condition. If you need help, Email me, John

I'm sorry to hear about how your NSX was treated, and it sounds like you went to Ron Tonkin Acura. I won't mention any names, but I've had a handful of very horrible experiences there with my NSX also.

Go to Acura of Portland and Morgan will take care of your baby. I would be shocked if it was him that mistreated your car. He's a very knowledgable and all-around good mechanic. Bob, Service Manager, is a very good guy also.

Thank you, You are right on the money on who I took it to. In the future I will try Acura of Portland.

One night on Dec. 22nd, I was going to CA south on I5 and thinking of my NSX, I driving a Subaru and all of a sudden I see this 2000 or 2001 Silver NSX pull beside me, gave him the thumds up. He obvisly was enjoying himself as mtored on by. It had an Acura of Portland License Plate advertisement, and I know around the time that Ron Tonkin had a new automatic one. Just a little side note.
