Hi Nalesh!
It was good to see you that day. I had picked the car up from the shop two days prior, and made some adjustments for the new wheels and coilovers with randomharmony. Chromatose also came up with a great solution to resolve an issue with the brake fitment. I was on my way to Wente Winery when we passed. Your car looks great too!
It looks like we have quite a good number of owners representing the Tri-Valley area. Do you all still meet up for coffee around Pleasanton/Dublin, or is everyone hanging out at Hoover's now?
The car needs a lot of TLC. The first shop who had my car for over a year...arrgh. I don't know where to begin. Luckily Ty, from T&T Autobody, had taken over after I picked up my car from the first shop, and has tried his best to do what he could with it. He has brought it to acceptable standards. I'm a little hesitant to bring it to the meets now, since it is not up to the level of finish that most of us owner's expect (again, this is not Ty's fault... he did the absolute best that I could expect anyone to do), and with a critical eye, the car is no where near show car condition that I was promised from the first shop 1-1/2 years ago. For now, I have too many other priorities that I can't focus much time on this car. I have accepted it as it is. I am just glad that it is back on the road.
Thanks for the kind comment about the house. That also has been a excrutiating nightmare with the contractor. The house has been over a 1-1/2 year delay from the contract deadline.
If you have the time, it would be great to have all of the local guys come over to work on the cars in the garage. We have plenty of space, but will need to have y'all bring over some tools, as it is barren walls for now.

See you around!
J.

Today around 6pm I saw 2 red NSX's on Tassajara Road. I was in my NSX going the other way towards the 580. They looked like they had aftermarket wheels. Thats all I could see as I was changing CDs.

That was probably me and Ryan.
He helped me out at the shop today and we decided to take a short cut home from Livermore. The drive back was a ton of fun and his car is much faster than mine.

Not when you forget to turn off the TCS! It was great hearing both of the custom exhausts at full throttle! We gotta get some sound clips.

 Nice, both were very low from what I could see. You guys have tint too right?

You guys going on Sunday?

That's funny, I guess all the red ones were out yesterday. Around 5:45 I was returning home and a red one pulls up behind me on tassajara, he kept going on up towards blackhawk, but I turned at dublin ranch.

Both of our cars are fairly low and Ryan has his windows tinted.
I can't make it tomorrow, Ryan might.
We just got back from Concorso with all the Ferrari, Lambos etc....I will definitely go again.

We went back to the shop after Concorso and YAWWN stopped by. We went for a tour of his HUGE HUGE HUGE house in Ruby Hills and it was absolutely jaw dropping.

Sunday 8/20 - saw a black NSX headed south on Mary in Sunnyvale driven by a middle-aged guy wearing a cap and a 95+ red NSX parked at the Starbuck's on Mary, also in Sunnyvale - both sighted around 11:15 in the AM. I was on my Colnago headed east.

"[Spa Yellow 2002+ on Greenback Ln today in Sacramento around 4 - 5pm

Was that anyone? first time i seen that one in the area]"

Hey FrEsHaZzBuRu,

I believe that was me...Does it has a license plate on it? I just recently picked it up at niello, so doesn't have plate yet. But yea, I live around carmichael north sacramento. Was on my way to my other house on roseville.

I spotted a black with chromed factory 7spokes rims and bra on Caribbean Drive in Sunnyvale near Baylands park around 1:50pm today.

I waived, but I don't know if you saw me coming the other way. I was in my NSX with the white Volks and factory bra.

Hey Hoover and Ryan,
It was great meeting up with you all.
Thank you very much, Hoover, for providing me a tour of your facility. I was extremely impressed with how your business is running! I wish you the best of luck as you expand to future endeavors.
Many thanks to you, Ryan, for the ride in your supercharged beast. What a thrill! That is one exceptional NSX.
I appreciate you both taking the time to stop by my home. I'll definitely have y'all over, once we are settled in.
I'll be visiting your shop often.

Take Care,
J.

Hi Joon,

I was talking about your house all week to my friends and I still can't believe you'll have a bigger one in the near future... I hope all your investments prosper in the years to come.

I get to meet AMGNSX next week and I think it's great that a lot of the local and not so local NSX members support our small shop. I just purchased an alignment rack for all the specialty cars we get as well, it's also a huge convenience to maintain a few race cars that we prep for next season.

Your widebody NSX is a great candidate for a race car: full turbo, custom suspension and blue printed and balanced purpose built engine. I'll be glad to help where I can, but you should really consider it. We can make it look like a JGTC race car.

Look forward to seeing you again.

Wednesday August 23, 2006. Two sightings.

1. 4:15pm. Red NSX, lowered with gunmetal wheels. Heading north on 680 in San Ramon; just before the Bollinger Canyon exit. Looked like Hoover's car.

2. 8pm. Red NSX, lowered with bronze Volks. Parked in the Amici's parking lot in Dublin.

Hi Hoover,
Thank you for your kind words and advice.
I was hoping to see both you and Ryan at Brandee's event last weekend. AMGNSX was there, as was a bunch of the other guys. I am sure that as the word gets out, you will be seeing how large the NSX community really is as people from all over the country will be contacting you about your work. I'm sure the local guys all are aware of what you offer, and eventually, your shop very well may become a local hangout... particularly now that you have the new alignment rack. I'm expecting to find that a handful of NSX owners will be at your facility Friday afternoons and probably Saturdays as well.
I'll have to think about your suggestion for converting the widebody to a full on race car. It sounds like a fun project, but I will have to weigh putting all that money into it, or using it to help purchase an additional sports car.
BTW, I stopped by the outside of your shop today, but decided that it was too hectic to bother with a hello. Perhaps I'll stop by tomorrow.

Take Care,
J.

Hi Nalesh,
It was very nice to see you and Lisa Sunday. I'm sorry about your door lock and your tow-hook cover. Let me know if I can help you with that door. As I mentioned to you, I'm on the look-out for my silver tow-hook cover as well, on Highway 680 every time I head southbound towards San Jose.

Take Care,
J.

Black (or maybe green...hard to tell with the persimmonish tint my sunglasses have) NSX on Skyline in Berkeley today around 1830....anybody here?

Joon,

Ryan and I went to the Concorso and that was a blast. My wife won't let me go to two events.

You should have came in. We were moving things around and getting ready for tomorrow's installation.

I'm very fortunate that ever since I bought my car last year, I've had nothing but encouragement and support from all the locals. Whenever Nalesh and Ryan stop by, they always help me out with odds and ends to take a load off of all the fellas. I must say, really really good people!

You can purchase a new sports car any time. I can build you a streetable turbo NSX if you'd prefer, it would just be awsome to say the least.

The alignment rack has always been on the back of my mind, I really want to own a race track...lol....
Most of my customers are race professionally or die hard fanatics/enthusiasts. When the season begins, my dyno gets booked for weeks and I always find them scrambling to get their chassis tuned. I maintain our shop race cars and a few others. It's difficult to find anyone that wants specialty/lowered cars on the alignment rack, I also found the need for corner weight scales. Due to time constraints, I decided it best to take things into our own hands and add a needed service to the locals.

Man, am I babbling ...
