Why do they send them to only one place? There are two DOT state run chop shops, one in Carson, and the other in Sacramento. I was unfortunate enough to have to go for an inspection to the Carson one in Feb '00..
I wonder why they are biased to one.
The chop shops exist to cash in on mods that any competent shop can perform, but the CARB authorizes these two only and allows the chop shops to charge a premium for the work as well.
