Since my car is still running rich by the smell from the left exhaust I would like to replace the stock Platinum plugs with the Iridium ones. I don't mine about the radio inteference. Would that solve the problem?

The exhaust smell can be a number of reasons. I would not complicate the problem until it is resolved.

See the service manual if you need a reference on where to start. The cats may be old / damaged. You may be having inadequate combustion. Make sure fuel pressure is where it needs to be, check / clean fuel injectors, check spark plugs, etc.

take care,

I doubt Iridiums spark plugs will solve the problem. Unless you have not changed the spark plugs in the past 5 years.

Yes, you can use Iridium spark plugs in NSX. Denso Iridiums will cause radio interference, NGK does not.

I use NGK Iridium in my NSX and Supra turbo, they are very good, as good as Platinums if not better, not to mention also cheaper. NGK Iridiums cost $6.50 each.

Cheaper = single iridium electrode with a steel ground, vs. OEM platinum on both electrode and ground. The "better" iridium plug is the same price as OEM because it has an iridium tip and a plat ground.

Thanks to all. I will check the trouble code maybe tomorrow (holiday due to our independance day). I will put in the injector cleaner tomorrow.
