Should I reset my ECU?

Hi,

I am quite a noob when it comes to anything DIY
I will be installing a uni-filter, headers, SOS test pipes, but keeping a oem exhaust on my 94 for now. I found this post (http://nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128233) and is wondering if i need to reset the ECU. Has anyone done that before?

Also, quick side question, is after I have installed Test Pipes, the CEL will be on on the dash right? By reseting the ECU will that eliminate the CEL? or is the CEL going to stay as long as my test pipes are in?

Lastly, I did a search but couldn't find one, is there a thread around that shows installation of headers/test pipes? This is my first major DIY job so I would love to have some guidance!!

Thank you very much guys!!

As I recall from all my fooling around with resetting the ECU, it takes like 200 miles for it to remap itself.

heres the header link

as for the cel I forget if the CEL comes on if 10 miles will reset the ECU.
I forget.

goodluck

So i am guessing with resetting the ECU, the CEL might or might not come on for the test pipes right? Thanks guys for your inputs =)

Anyone reset the ecu before tho as i've asked and if so, does it actually make a difference?
