I need to put in new shocks real soon. The down side is the economy sucks so cash is low. Recommendations please! I do track the car about 3-5 times per year and give taste if the track rides most track weekends so 2 riders is not unusual. I normally take one day as a driver only lapping day and 2 days where I instruct and during my sessions have my student ride along or have friends that ride along for a taste of the track. My car is also my daily driver so I need something good for the road and the track. I admit I don't know much about working on a car so I need advice.

Thanks,

Bilstein for low cost.

Type S/Zanardi suspension kit for best overall performance.

If your springs are stock then I agree cheapest is just the bilsteins,If you want to spend a little more and be able to adjust shock rebound I like the zanardi spring koni yellow combo.

Where would you get the Zanardi springs?

I got mine from my local dealer, but I'm sure any of the prime friendly discounting dealers could get them, they are inexpensive,I payed about 80$per spring.

Thanks, I will look in to the Zanardo springs. Do you think they would be better than the Eibachs??

thanks

I can't say they are better, but they have honda's blessing to be used as oem.Myself as well as others feel the zanardi (not zanardo) and koni yellow combo is a decent inexpensive match. You might want to look into slightly stiffer swaybars as well.Do a search on swaybars for prior threads.

I've had the Bilsteins for a long time and I'm very happy with them. They have a nice, stock-like ride comfort on the street, and they firm up nicely on the track. This is with my original stock springs.

If you buy aftermarket shocks new, save your receipts. Most of them come with a lifetime warranty.

The KW V3 is probably the most comfortable best street/track suspension available. They are OEM equipped on the Mercedes CLK63 and SL65 "Black Edition" cars -so the ride quality must be up to par to Mercedes' standards for a performance car. They are also the supplier to many OEM manufacturer's "tuner"/bolt on parts as well as come OEM-equipped on the Viper ACR.

I love the ride quality on my NSX and it's better than the Koni/Eibach setup that's on my M3. It does cost a bit more but it's a worthy investment in your car. Shoot me a PM for pricing but I believe it fits your application and is worth the wait.
