Could someone please measure the diameter of the OEM shifter stalk (just below the knob threads) for me? I'm 700 miles from home so i can't do it.

between the rod and the thread, there is a groove, its diameter is 8 mm:smile:
Thank you. I knew the threads were 10mm but couldn't remember if the stalk below was larger.

What is the best way to shave the shaft down just a little bit? I had my stalk shorten by titaniumdave, now my sos tear drop knob rub the bending part of the shaft. So the knob cant be screw down all the way.
