I have a carbon fiber MOMO shift knob on my 91. Installed easily with the adapter kit included from MOMO.

If anyone is interested, I have a brand new MOMO King and also a new MOMO black Race Airleather knob available. I can sell either for $70, including USPS priority mail in the USA. These look great and work with teh stock shift boot.
