Has anyone ever had the door keyholes shaved? I'd like to know what was involved. Can you just remove the lock cylinder inside the door, or is it more involved. I plan to study the shop manual, but would like to know if anyone has first hand experience. Thanks.

please don't do it  ,

but if you just had too and couldn't live without doing it then you will have to make sure that a perfect piece of aluminum was fabbed up and tig welded into place seamlessly and without fibreglass and bondo.... the key cylinder would have to be removed, that's pretty much it... there should already be a rod that unlocks the door from the keyless entry system...

good luck

That's what they plan to do. Thanks for the input.
