Seattle Karting Experience - Feb 11th

No problems including other cars in the caravan...

Just confirm with me as soon as you can so I can contact the Karting place and increase our reservation. Thanks!

Also, let me know if you need any driving instructions to our meeting place.

Optikal when do you need to know by? Also anyone partying that night?

Might make it a weekend trip. The guy with the Scion is flying out of town tomorrow until Fri so who knows if he is up for the drive... Then the guy with the Lotus is on-call for work. Crappy timing.

I think the Karting place is fairly flexible, so I think this Friday is a good deadline.

I am hoping we'll get a bunch of people together after karting to either head out to a local steak restaurant or other stuff afterwards.

Ananda, have you invite anyone on S2ki.com yet?? It will be fun to meet some of those guys there... Just wondering.

Ooo ooo...can i come...please...even though I have two less cylinders?!

m3power222 sent me the link to this thread, said there was a group going karting in Seattle this weekend. Just so happens I'll be up in Seattle this weekend as well. Would you guys mind if a couple folks (my girlfriend and I) from the SRT community tagged along for some karting fun?

Oh yeah, she'll drive, she's a very competitive individual. I think she lapped me last time we went karting. She refuses to acknowledge being 50 pounds lighter than me is an advantage. Says its all in the driving skill

Down here in PDX I'm fast because of my power to weight advantage :)

Know your line and keep that back end planted on the ground!

Pat's Acres is a fantastic place to drive... I went there a few years ago with about 40 S2000 club members for an "Enduro" race. That was tough, and was a lot of fun. Wish we could do that again.

m3power222... maybe we should put something together for this summer???

Optikal - totally for sure we can put something together this summer. Always best karting in the summer when the tires are nice and sticky. Well as sticky as rental kart tires can be...

Also if anyone has R/C cars Pat's Acres has a cool track in the back!

It will be fun that if we can planned a little and do go kart before/after a track day at PIR in the weekend.

Either, Saturday afternoon - Go Kart - Dinner - SundayPIR track day.
or Saturady Track day - Go kart in the next morning, brunch, then drive back to Seattle.

Got to make sure if you guys/gals plan on coming down to do that there is not a kart race at Pat's Acres. A few times we have gone we were not allowed to use the rentals due to race events.

We'll have to plan this well in advance. In fact, if Pats Acres is answering their phones now would be great time to figure out the best date to organize something like this.

I would really like to do another enduro, but I don't think the NSX club can support 40 attendees at $60 per person. There is just not enough people in the area to count on showing up. So, we'll need to organize this with another car club (or two).

Otherwise, we'll forgo the enduro race and just arrive and drive with who we have.

If we want to do this in conjuction with a PIR track day we have to factor in the overload factor for some people. I don't have a track car anymore but I would be more than happy to corner work for you guys.

Optikal

I am in for sure. Got 3 guys that won't know till Sat morning. Should you count them in and overshoot it if they don't show?

Can you give directions to the meeting place as I am coming from I-5 heading North.

Also PM me your contact info just incase I need to call for some reason.

Thanks,

Wilson

I would suggest that in case anything happened and you won't make it to Factoria, the first gathering location on time (It's about 10 mins drive on I90 from Seattle I5/I90 junction), you could go straight to the Go Kart place on I-5.

I'll let Optikal giving out directions. looking forward to meet you.

Thanks for the info NSXDreamer2.

Everyone who is attending, if you have a FRS radio please bring that to help the caravan stay together.

m3power222, here are directions from I-5.

- Go to the I-90 junction and head East on I-90 (towards Bellevue)
- You will go about 10 miles to Exit 10B (exit just after 405 junct exits)
- This is the Richards Rd Exit
- At the end of the Exit, take a RIGHT on Factoria Blvd
- Go to the 3rd Stop light and take a RIGHT on SE 41st Pl
- Take the First Driveway on the Right into Factoria Mall
- Abandoned restraurant on the Right

Once you are on Factoria Blvd you will see the Mall on the Left, the area we are meeting at is on the SouthEast side of the parking lot.

If you can't make the meeting spot you can meet us at Traxx Racing.

- From 405, head north to the I-5 Junction
- 405 turns into 525
- Continue on 525 North to the 5th stoplight
- Take a LEFT on Chennault Beach Rd
- Traxx is behind the Shell gas station

oh darn it...

i got caught up in painting my wheels and I couldn't make it. Hope you guys had fun.

definitely next time.

Do you have a front license plate?
well, he was yelling in my face and ask "Where's your front license plate?"

well, maybe they not used to see so many Acuras together, but seriously I had never seen police patroling the go kart place...

Anyway, thank you everyone for showing up and I'm glad that everyone had fun. I'm looking forward to see you guys again at the next meet.

Ferrand.

Good times guys! Nice meeting everyone. Sorry we had to bail out early. We ended up going to eat in Belltown then just headed home. Had bday party plans Sunday.

Thanks for coming out and making this a great evening! Sorry that we took the wrong turn in Factoria... but I think some of us was only good for one run anyway. At least we were able to get the insane people a few more runs.

And thanks Wilson for getting some of your people to come along. I hope Belltown treated you well and the trip was worth the drive way down south.

Does anyone know how I can host some pictures on Prime? I have a few I can share.
