My beloved NSX was totalled tonight in an accident in Victoria. I was cut off by a pizza delivery driver (who else?) and my car paid the ultimate price. 3.5 years of bliss destroyed in the blink of an eye. Happy to report i'm ok other than the shock and sore body parts, the other driver is fine, and the pizzas were still delivered warm (ok this part i'm not so sure of). So I will be looking for a new NSX and any people that see or hear of nice NSX's in the US or Canada please let me know. I miss my girl so bad already I can't wait to replace her! Take care all and best wishes for a happy and safe new years, please make sure what happened to my car doesn't happen to yours!!

sorry to hear your lost. It's aways a tragedy hearing about these accidents. I hope you'll find a replacement soon.

ps, just out of curiosity, could you let us know how much icbc payout for your 91 NSX? just want to know. thx!!

Good luck to you!!

The car can be replaced, the important thing is that no one was seriously injured in the accident.

Most insurance companies ask our cars to be appraised prior to being insured, so there should be no guess work involve when assessing the payout. The only question is that whether they believe the car can be repaired at a lower cost than the agreed total loss compensation. Hope they would just pay you out.

Don't post pics of this disaster. I'll just get pissed off.

Do post pics of your new ride when it arrives though. Enjoy looking for a new NSX.

ya i'm not likely to post any pics, i don't want to remind myself of this or see it on wreckedexotics.com lol
to be honest i don't have any photos yet. went to the lot today to get a pic but no attendant on site to let us in. any pics of new cars that people think i should look at please send me a link. i've seen a few in the US that are nice I am waiting to hear back from people that i have emailed. i do promise to keep everyone up to date on my efforts to find a new one...
thanks for the condolences it does feel better to know that others can sympathize with this great loss.

Sorry to hear about the car but glad to hear you are OK. I was informed only hours after it happened and also heard that the cops were trying to blame you? What a joke.

It's sad to see the low serial # '91 written off.

Hope you find a new car soon, and if there are any in lower mainland you are welcome to bring them by for inspection.

It's a long way from you, but Olympic Honda in Guelph, Ontario has a Black '91
with just 17,000 klms. Looks like a new one.

Well Angus, the officer at the scene asked if i was speeding- i disagreed. When he confirmed that the other driver was making an illegal left turn AND failed to yield then the officer said he was giving the other driver two tickets and none to me. i felt somewhat justified but just because the car is an exotic doesn't mean we are going fast all the time. At no time did the officer say i was to blame, i'm curious as to who told you that...i guess thats part of the "sports car syndrome" we all must deal with, we are guilty until proven innocent in the minds of most people.

Thanks for the info on NSX's for sale guys, and thanks Angus for the offer to do an inspection. I have found that there are a lot of low mileage NSX's out there from 91/92 but the owners are asking a ton for them ($44k for one i saw). Realistically, for that kind of money, I would get a newer one with more kms and usually some upgrading has already been done. I'm looking for the same colour scheme (red/tan) and anything likely up to a '96. I found a nice one in Idaho but I am waiting for the owner to contact me.

mine can be for sale as well
up in Ontario though
1994 with about 118,00 on it now .. Canadian Car we can work out a great deal on it as Im moving out of the country soon and if I don't take it with me Id like to sell it

That's unfourtunate, hopefully everything works out. I'd say this would be the time to go to the US and buy a southern car. CDN $ is equal and importing is not difficult, unless the right car/price can be found here at home:smile: Good luck with the search....

Sorry to hear of the loss of the car. I know I don't have an NSX but love the cars anyway. Glad your safe and Like Joboo says welcome to Victoria.

Sorry to hear about the accident. This one has been on the market for some time, ebay, canadatrader.com, etc.

Don't know anything about it other than what is stated in the ad. On ebay the bidding has gone to around 30k a couple of times but never beyond. I guess the list members in Toronto can tell you if this is a reputable outfit and perhaps they know the car.

Aaron, contact Paris, his '96 red/tan is just having full engine out service along with a few goodies and he is considering selling it.

You can also PM me about it and I'll put you in contact with him.

I've seen this car in person, sat in it... tested second gear... I would not wish it on my enemies. Avoid!

I'm having two inspected in California on Monday, one is a 96 NSX-T with 96,000 miles and the other is a 93 with about the same mileage. Both are black/black with aftermarket rims and clean interiors. I'm flying down Monday to look at them in person after the inspections and test drive them. Anyone know of a good carrier in California to get the vehicle to the border?
