sad to do this :(

I'm going to flame you because the MR2 spyder is NOT a real MR2, it's a wanna be MR2. You went from the mother of all MR2's to a....... But from a practical stand point I understand why.

I know Les. For now the Spyder will be more useful as I can drive everyday. But in 10-20 years when old cool cars make a comeback, I will look back and regret this. Thats what my friend did when he sold his low mileage MINT and stock AE86 back in 2003.

I can't say my heart didn't sink when I read this but i've been your shoes before when practicality needs to take precedence. Having said that, my buddy would have probably made a good offer on your MR2!

I have no idea on the condition of your CRX. Chances are it's pristene. If not, PM me some info on it. We're looking for a lemons car to race with.

As soon as deal was done, I could feel my heart sink and had this sick feeling in my chest. I no shit wanted to cry, yes CRY.

CRX is far from pristine as its my beater that happens to be a HF model that delivers 50+MPG combined. Its in super good mechanical shape and body is straight and a 91 model (updated pieces) but body is flat black. I'm debating on keeping it but not so sure yet.

Adrian, your post got my brain cells tingling and I was looking at these while fantasizing owning a MKII MR2:

The last one is a bit of a stretch in terms of what I'd want to spend for an MR2, but it looks amazing. Anyway, not being an MR2 guy I'm afraid to pull the trigger on anything. My time is so consumed with the NSX I don't have time to learn about the MR2, but I would love to find a decent one for daily driving. Maybe someday...

Wow some of those are pricey and I'm not taling about the $17K one. It might be $17K but its super low miles and cherry. Thats a MR2 to keep stock.

I will miss my REAL mr2 :(

Adrian, we all know (at least us MR2 guys) that the MKIII has the best balance of the three models, so you did get an upgrade there. I will keep the MKII flame lit for you though, my 93 turbo is about to roll over 79,000 miles.

I love the MR2 Spyder. good choice IMHO super fun and really easy to drive. I know the pain of having to leave a clean SW20 in light of something new.

Don't worry, as long as you have your NSX, you will be family here.

P.s. let me drive your MR2 sometime!

its just there was soooooo much money in parts in the SW20 as well but oh well. If you want man you can but its slooow lol. handles really really good though.

Any pics of the CRX?

More Mark II MR2 news... Leaking head gasket. Sigh... 15 hours of labor...Having my mechanic do it since I poked around and it was 56 pages of the service manual to do this myself. I love working on my cars, but...

Hey...Interested in buying mine? I may actually sell her...
