Just some low quality pics taken with a phone, just a mini NSX owners meet. Two of the NSX owner came with their daily driver. Unusual mid week meet, it is nice to take a short break.

Baller Vance's S2000CR, picked up today. Very smooth, very fun to drive. I VTECed about 10 times when I test drove this S2KCR:biggrin:.

To answer some questions.

First off, I had a 2001 and 2006 S2k.

CR looks a lot better in person than the pictures, every one at my shop agreed to that. Specially the front lip, it is quite pleasant to look at. The rear spoiler is actually well proportioned, I like nicer than the Mugen version, but Jason disagree. It's matter of personal preference.

This car is basically a refined AP1 with F22C1 motor and VSA. The RE070 NSX-R tires made a huge difference, and the turn in ratio is very noticeable. The suspension is harsh, but not nearly as harsh as the NSX R suspension, very smooth and comfortable.

I just learned that the CR is actually a step above the JDM S2000 Type S, which is surprising because we never get the best one here in the past.

No Vance,

I think you mistaken comment from someone else with me.

I love the wing, in fact that is my favorite, nicer looking than the Mugen one. It is the nicest looking wing for S2K right now. It looks great from every angle. Want a similar style wing for nsx, but with the mounting point relocated to two sides for NSX:biggrin:

I did said it is nicer looking than 06~07 oem S2K wing though.

The Iphone pics is just really bad.

Vance,

Congrats on the CR, sick ride. Ive been entertaining the thought myself but cant justify the $. Over sticker if you dont mind me asking? PM ME if you'd like:wink:

Nice looking NSXs and the CR is pretty cool.

I like everything about the CR w/ the exception of the wing. I'm sure it's a quality part and aids track performance, but I prefer low wings that hug the lines of the car.

At the end, I leased it for $450-ish under invoice (Not MSRP) with the money factor of .099 (or .93). You can have your F & I guy plug into the system. They are giving those cars away out here. In fact, there are couple listed for $34xxx on ebay under buy it now!!!

S2k market is very soft in S. Cal, in fact, there are some 20 plus Honda dealers in S. Cal and only about four of them sold their S2k CR.

So, do you love it or what? I keep thinking I want one:biggrin:

Daaaaaamn that is so sick! Please Uncle Vance can we see pics of the CR next to your NSX-R clone:smile:

That CR is so sweet! I totally agree I didn't like it in pics ,but my dealer has two of them and they look awesome in person. The front and rear pieces are not over powering or "ricer" at all. Unless of course you think 911 wings are ricer.

Congrats again Vance and of yeah I hate you! LOL

So far I love it, the hard top is kinda a hassle right now, because the weather is cold, I think once the summer rolls in, I can keep the top for for days:smile:

Again, I can only describe it as, AP1 and pre Ap2's are nothing like it. The suspension is similar to Zanardi edition NSX (Thanks to Bill last night, I got to drive his), and with 2.2, VSA, refined gear box, it is truly a delight. It does turn like an AP1, except safer:biggrin:

Go lease one.

This is the break down:

They have special money factor of .09x, and the residual value after three years is $21xxx, which is lower than the earlier S2k, most likely due to the end of S2k sales honeymoon, but gives you a chance to buy it out. At a lower payment, if you lease the car with no money down.

WinZ, I'll take some pictures when it is not raining around here, the weather has been bad.

Good luck!

Vance, I work in Honda dealership now, and I'm dying to know how the CR compare to nsx... I found that stock 07 suspension is surprisingly annoying with A048. Huge difference compare to the nsx, (it seems better the tires you throw on the car, it handles better, especially the R suspension)...

To all who wants a CR and getting good deal, call and ask if the dealer have one in the showroom. Vance is right, Honda only allocate each dealer one CR, however, the next car will be on "custom" order... I believe you will have better deal if you buying one from a dealership who had a car.

It's hard for me to explain, but I'll try.

When I had my AP1 in stock form, I though the suspension was really really harsh, but my NA2 NSX-R suspension eclipsed it. If you look at the springs on the suspension of the CR, it is set up like the Zanardi edition. Check out the pictures.

NSX-R, check out the springs.

The CR suspension has the Type R style resevoir, but the spring is conventional.

I drove the Zanardi #50 yesterday, and the CR is slightly bumpier on the open road, but very similar, but no where near the Type R suspension.

As you know, I have the whole NSX-R suspension set up, with Type S rear sway bar, the S2k feels lighter and more toss-able. The NSX is still more stable after 100mph. With the hard top but no sound dampening sprays, the CR is quieter than my NSX....

Sorry but the CR looks really lame in my eyes....
Dude, that's not cool, it's like people telling you... Your girlfriend or wife is ugly!!!  But no harm done, since I thought it was ugly too when I view the photo, but when I saw it in person... I told my self, "I gotta have it." To bad they don't offer that outside of Japan and US.

My freind at work just bought a black CR. I just took it for a spin and I LOVE it !! You are correct about the shifter, the engagement feels better than the 2004 S2000 I used to own and it feels better than my NSX (equipped with Zanardi stalk and Type R knob).

Shhh! Don't let the other NSXrs know about the CR or the rest of won't be able to get deals on them:biggrin:

Im an s2k owner myself and to me the s2k cr is just a big joke. There is multiple threads each with like a bazillion pages on the s2k forum on how we are all VERY disappointed with it.
