RPS Clutch - Who Has One?

The clutch on my 02 is starting to slip. Really cool hearing the engine rev to 6500 as you creap from a stop light!

I'm looking to get an RPS clutch, but wanted the opinion of some of you that have one yourself. I live in Temecula and would love to feel the pressure of one prior to purchasing it. If anyone lives near Temecula, let me know..if I can find time, I'll cruise out and feel the pressure if that is cool with you.

I use my NSX as a 4 day a week driver. No real traffic "stop and go driving" to speak of. Just want to make sure it doesn't turn the NSX into something unbearable to drive.

Art (surferX) has an RPS clutch, but he's down in San Diego. He was with us on that Palomar Run last month. You may want to PM him.

I love mine. Ya its a stiff clutch but grabs like a MOFO. I daily drive my NSX 24/7. Jerry at greenlight does a awsome job

I finally have 500 miles on mine. The RPS clutch is awesome. Not too stiff. For the first 2-300 miles its a little more stiff than I liked, but it got easier with time. Be sure to drive easy to break in the clutch. RPS told me to take it easy for 5-600 miles, otherwise the clutch will burn up.

Hey Todd,

I have an RPS clutch in my NSX. I love it! You can check out the thread I started when I had it installed about a year ago at Greenlight Honda/Acura in Clairemont. Talk to Jerry, but that is definitely where I recommend you get the work done. I think I have about 8k miles on the clutch since then and have had no issues. The pedal effort is heavier than stock, but since you're a bigger guy you shouldn't have any issues. Only people who weigh less than 150 seem to have real problems with it. I've found it's a good way to keep women from wanting to drive my car! :wink: If you want to test it out first, send me a PM. Also, I think I saw a new one for sale in the Part for Sale forum. I think it was a guy in Cali so you may want to check that out to get a few $$ off! Good luck!
