They know about folks not being happy about having to pay for the tours and track time. Counterpoint, BMW tour is free with Euro delivery but track time is at your expense.
Thanks (as always) for the info. I might do the tour/track on a "life is short" rationale, but as a counterpoint to your counterpoint: a 9-lap package on the Nurburgring is about $250. That's about 2 hours of solid *actual* track time (much longer if you break it up)-- about the max that anyone would really want. No coaches, but opportunity to drive the 'Ring in your own car is pretty fun, and easily covered by the below-MSRP pricing applicable to Euro deliveries. Just pointing out for the record.
This is true, but in Ohio you get to beat on Honda's car instead of yours! Renting a car at the Ring a few years ago wasn't cheap. It was no NSX either.
