hi, i'd like to put/try some LED light bulbs...
the turn signal in the back is a single element.....
the 3 on each side/ 6 total is a dual element light bulbs....
do you guys know if they are basically 1156 and 1157 equivalents?

the LED bulbs will light up very distinctly.... quick ON /OFF and brighter and last longer and use less energy....blah blah... i just think it may look nicer...

i did see someone modding a full array of LEDs for the nsxS but they were way too costly and 2-3wks of down time on car....

any inputs..trials report would be appreciated....

PEP boys have the LED bulbs for 6-8$ a pop...

I tried this, and I found that the result wasn't what I thought it would be. LED bulbs are directional and non-diffusive, unlike incandescent bulbs. So, with the LED bulbs installed, the rear lights looked like small pinpoints in the center of each light box. Also, the LED bulbs weren't as bright as the 1157's that they replaced. :(

The regular bulbs just plain look better than the LED bulbs.

led vs. incandescant

ok, that makes sense..... i won't even try.... i did buy 2 just to try but.... won't waste my time....
maybe i'll try in the lexus sc430's rear....
appreciate your help.

how about changing the front turn signal bulbs to those new clear bulbs, that shine yellow/orange?

and, have you seen any good fitting clear lens for the front side marker/blinker?

A lot of new cars are coming out with led lighting. A custom housing set up would look nice. Check the modified car mags for the new led light upgrades.

I'm upgrading my front side marker lights, with clear plastic and a line of bluish/white LEDs. ClearCorners.com does it. It's not cheap, and you have to send them to him, but the results are very pretty.
