Can we justify not upgrading to LED brake light bulbs any more?

Oddly, there's an orange/black in the harness, next to the black, (very bottom of the picture) which has nothing connected to it on the bulb side of the connector. I wonder what that is.

Didn't some of the Euro spec cars have a single rear fog light or something? It might be for that.
