I am having trouble getting on and off of my trailer so I was wondering how hard it would be to remove my front bumper before and after shows? I know many other cars can do it in a matter of minutes but the NSX doesnt look that ez.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

If its only a clearance problem, would removing just the air dam help? That should only take a few minutes. Its black on my red '96, but from your picture I can't tell if yours is the same color as the bumper.

He has a WW front lip.

What about backing the car in, of course you would have to think about how to cut hard to avoid hitting on the way out.

I even use two piece of wood outside of my trailer to step my car up before getting to the door of the trailer. I switched over to buddy club coil overs to raise the car up but I am still rubbing.

I do have the WW front lip so removing it will not work. Luckily the WW front lip flexes and I have a clear bra over it but I do not know how much longer this will work.

I removed and replaced mine this weekend on my ’97.
I could fax you the manual pages but in brief:
-Remove 4 nuts and 2 bolts inside each fender well (2 bumper nuts , 1 skirt bolt each side)
-Remove turn signals (1 screw each)
-Remove 6 bumper mounting bolts by (3 each side of radiator)
-disconnect 2 horns, windshield fluid tank, ambient air temp sensor (which you may not have any longer)
I think that is it and the Bumper, skirt and spoiler will all come off.
It took me about 3 hours to get it off the first time, I think once you have done it and know the steps (and where the nuts and bolts are) it is a 20-30 minute process.

Hey Alex,
It's not worth it for your trailer. What I've done is to make a longer ramp to the trailor. I think yours has ramps if I remember right. Just extend them about 4-6 feet and store them on the trailor. No more rubbing and less trouble than removing your bumper.
You know how low my front is.

yeap, I was having an impression that it won't be too hard when I decided to replace a new bumper cover. I had done numerous Accord, civic, integra..etc. How hard could it be for the nsx??

Boy I was so wrong... If you are pretty anal (like most of us nsx owners) about the fitment and stuff... Just fitting the bumper and make it line up with the fender and lower valence will drive you crazy.

IMO, a better built ramp would save you more time and effort in a long run.
