Trying to remove the sash along the bottom of the windshield...one on the OUTSIDE of windshield. I've done a search and haven't had any clear answers. I see the yellow "clips" that people are referring to but with the limited space, how does it disengage?
I've read to move it toward the front of the car...can't really get a good grip on the clip. Any advice/tips?

Hmm. I had my windshield replaced in June of last year by a local "generic" glass/windshield shop. I watched them do the work but I can't recall any unusual tricks they did in removing that piece. I do know that none of the clips broke, so they reused them all.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Check the service manual. It is very clear where to exactly put your flat head screwdriver to release the clip. Pay attention to the pictures very carefully. It is very well documented in there.

It's on pdf pg. 837 or 20-11 in the 1991 service manual.

Make sure you remove the front sash mount screw first.

The inner molding clip removal is also on that page

push down, toward front of car, on the molding near the center of the windshield.

lift off.

The clip is shaped like an X, just compress it. The bottom of the molding will unclip first, then let go and it will unclip from the top.

easy enough.
