Remove OBD port from bolster?

Hi guys - anyone know how to remove the OBD port from the knee bolster/cover?

I don’t have an OBD 2 NSX, but looking at your picture I think the port snaps in with clips on the wide ends. Look at the front side and try squeezing. Or possibly insert a small screwdriver from the backside to release the tab.

Red arrow points to what I believe is the retaining tab.



As noted by Miner, now that you have the bolster out, you should be able to release the port from the back side by pressing on that tab. Normally I have done it from the front side with a long thin flat tool. I can't remember whether there are release tabs on both sides.

Yes thanks guys. Once I backed it out the garage and had more room…it was easy to pop out. My cover is so jacked up…it looks like someone tried to remove it with one of the screws attached. Just pull harder is the theory I guess.
