There's a south bay caravan meeting at Harbor Freight on Stevens Creek Blvd in Santa Clara at 8 am. Any of you down here want to caravan with the 20+ cars that have committed to meet there?

I am not sure the caravan will go down 880. If it does, then everyone has to pay toll crossing the Bay Bridge into Treasure Island.
For those in the South Bay, it makes sense that we will be traveling up the peninsula and into Treasure Island through SF.

I also heard that there is a hard stop at 11am. With that in mind if we leave at 8:30 am from Harbor Freight on Stevens Creek near Lawrence Expwy what time will we get there (considering that we may hit traffic in SF)?

It looks like they changed the time for the caravan by half an hour to accommodate the venue change. Now they are meeting at 7:30 am at Harbor Freight. See you all there.

I've been to the event a few times when it was at Pier 32 and the only police I saw was a few guys hanging around the VIP roped off section. The rest of the parking lot is just a free for all and they even diverted some "questionable" cars to the overflow lot across the street.

The crowd seemed to disperse around 10:30 - 11 as the weather gets warmer but no one is there to kick you out. We stayed well past that to get some nice photos when the crowds left. But keep in mind this was all at Pier 32. Now that it's moved to TI, it's anyone's guess how it will be arranged but I do believe the island is open to tourists too so if you come late you will be competing with that traffic too.

Also there is another bay area euro meet that starts at 11am in the same area so many will go between the two events is my guess.

Only place i have been to in Treasure Island is the first parking lot over looking the city across the bay.
