It s been a long time since I’ve updated my thread!
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to purchased a used but fully overhauled Comptech Whipple supercharger with a few parts.
The package included the following parts:
- CTSC kit
- Comptech Pulley (small/medium/big)
- Walbro 255 L/H fuel pump
- Cedar ridge supercharger locking tensioner
- Alternator
- Lucas 579cc injectors,
- Comptech headers
- Gruppe M carbon kevlar intake.
To complete the upgrade I also ordered:
- VEMS standalone system with few options (extra oil pressure sensor and Bluetooth adapter).
The BT adapter allow to connect a phone (or a computer) to the Vems standalone, display various gauges/infos and even upload settings/tune.
- Two extra gauges: oil pressure and oil temp
- Asm motorsport intake upgrade kit
- Replaced my Pride V2 exhaust (2“) by the supercharged version (2.5”)
+ few parts like gaskets, fuel filter, spark plugs, extra wiring fuel pump wiring...
Before installing the SC, I’ve wanted to check my engine's health and power output so I went to Dp Engineering in the Netherlands to dyno the nsx.
I wasn’t disappointed by the results, with a pretty good 294hp@8000tr/min and 296nm of torque. (Mods: DF intake scoop, stock intake with uni-filter, intake manifold, Pride RTP and Pride V2 exhaust).
For the installation I went to the only place I trust to work on my NSX : Hontec in the Netherlands. As usual, they did a brilliant job.
As for the Tune, I went to Dp Engineering and the results were higher than expected with the medium pulley: 421hp@8000tr/min and 410nm.
Don't worry concerning the curve, this is not the full scale. The graph only shows a zoom in part of the curve. So the ups and downs are normals.
Before / After:
While the NSX was at Hontec, "Shot at Speed" took few pics of my car:
Then i decided to plastidip black my coolant tank as it was almost yellow
Unplastidiped my wheels
Replaced the original intake by the RFY carbon Intake (thanks to my wife, it was my Xmas gift)

And finally made a custom carbon trottle cover plate
I also had few gifts from friends
