I just painted my calipers red. I thought they came out pretty good. I wanted to share some pics with fellow NSXers as I used this site for pics and info before I did mine.

The wheels are Advan Model 5s in chrome.

I agree, I have never seen rotors that agressive. They look great so do the calipers. That had to cost a real pretty penny....

Ken,

I think the above post was referring to looks, not how stock brakes work on the track. Don't you think the stock red brakes in the picture above look small with the aftermarket wheels compared to the zmi setup in this thread?

caliper

Thanks for the positive feedback. I think they turned out pretty good. I used the G3 caliper paint. The kit allowed me three coats of paint. It doesnt look like much but it goes a long way.

Here is where I got it:

For $39.00 I dont know why you wouldnt paint em'

I dont think the rotors look that small. I think the wheels are big and open. Check out the finished product.

Jason, did you buy another kit for the black lettering or does the red kit includes some black paint ??

btw, looks great,

Did you have to remove the calipers to paint them? I was planning on doing this over the winter so thanks for posting the photo and information.

:)

what do you mean you wouldn't have to remove them completely? I'm guess just take the outside half off?? Will you have to bleed your brakes afterwards?

calipers

You dont have to take the calipers off. It would be just a bit harder to paint.

I put speed bleeders opn my car as well that way you dont have to call your wife in to pump the brakes:) They are really cool and quick.

I've heard some good things about those speed bleeders. Where did you buy a set for the NSX... or will standard speed bleeders work?

I'll probably take the calipers off because the car will be in stored for the winter anyway.

I'll post some pictures when it's done.

i put speedbleeders on my car after taking the calipers off to paint. They're well worth the $40 for the set of 5 (incl the clutch bleeder). Most here got them from speedbleeders.com

Good luck

Thanks guys... I'll order a set this weekend. Did you install the clutch speed bleeder? Do you think that is necessary for how rare you bleed the clutch?
