Just thought I would pass this along. I have had a rattling that was hard to track down in the rear of car.
Pry out the 5 rubber plugs under your HMSL and tighten the phillips head screws down. Two of mine(outer most) were completely out, only held in by plug.

Thanks Gary. Maurice, you ought to know that you have to spell some things out for us idiots. :D

It's a very good idea to check the tightness of the screws holding the spoiler brake light periodically. I detail many NSXs and check them for my customers and often they are loose or the screws have worked their way completely out only being held by the body colored caps. I heard of a story where the spoiler brake light fell out and was dragged behind the car with only the connector wire holding on to it.

very good idea to check those bolts along with the three allen screws that hold the door locks. They will also back out with more damge to the door jamb. Can you say scraped paint

Great tip - I just checked mine and they were loose. The HMSL was creaking before and now it's rock solid! Would some lock-tight (the kind that can be removed) help prevent this from backing out?

YEAR 1998, 34k miles, mine had 4 tight and 1 loose screw (on right hand side).

I had no rattles, but its nice to have this tightend up again. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome tip! I just checked mine the other day and 4 out of 5 were either loose or plain out. They're all tightened now. :D
