I check out a GMC truck today at 81 degrees outside temp. and used a second thermometer.
Mine was off by 10 degrees! Here's a pic.
Add 10 degrees to what I posted above.
Ha Ha Yeah that's why I always use digital gauges....Most stock systems will run in the low 40s however it is not uncommon to find systems in the upper 30s at the vents.
I'll get my r134 conversion back tomorrow and let you know what the temps are. Unfortunately, I don't have any pre-conversion numbers , but suffice it to say that it was not cool (pun intended).
And did I mention Don at Hilltop Auto? He asked me not to quote prices, but let's just say, you can't get this kind of work done anywhere else in the Bay Area any cheaper/faster/better.
