He was a hellofa funny guy.
Had a heart attack this morning and battled MS for years. He surely LIVED his life.
man, he was **outrageously funny** and will be missed. though i never saw him perform live, i had all of his albums (old-school here 
through the mid-80's and just a couple of months ago bought the "this XXXXXX's crazy" dvd. i thought the movies he was in were "ok", but to tell you the truth, i felt his short-lived tv show was much better... certainly edgier.
many comedians - robin williams, eddie murphy, chris rock, et al, owe a great deal to him for pushing the limits on what was acceptable to perform in public.

He was a comedic genius. I enjoyed all of his work, even his movies that never it made it big like Bustin' Loose.
