Quick Screw Question

I am trying to disassemble my front bumper and I've run into a type of screw that is smarter than me. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I can't figure out how to get it off. When I turn the screw it just spins, if I brace the plastic backing, it still spins. Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong?

I know it has to be a dumb question, but I'd rather ask before I get too brute force :)

Wedge a tiny flat screwdriver between the tip end of the screw and the inside of the plastic "backing" covering the screw part as you turn it from the normal end side. The threads are likely work (stripped) so it is spinning in place and won't "bite" to come unscrewed.

Just lightly push the inside tip outward while spinning & it should come out.

Afterwards, buy a new one ($1 item?)
