Hi i'm going to be getting my Top color matched with the body of my 91. I really want get as close to the new oem look as possible. On the New coupes that has the color matched tops. I want to know if the molding on the roof are red or black. The moldings near each edge of the roof going front to back and the moldings at the windshield going left to right. Are the moldings black or should they be red.

Funny, I was just looking closely a '99 Zanardi at the track over the weekend, so I can answer this. Anyone please feel free to correct me if I get any of this wrong.

All rubber moldings are black, unpainted.

The following refers to the metal parts that are painted:

The roof and the A-pillar and B-pillar are body color, including the edges above the window.

The door handle itself is black.

The little triangular thingie that holds the top of the window is black.

The horizontal molding that runs along the bottom of the window is black.

The little triangular panel behind the side-view mirror is black.

Tobal,

I'm interested to find out more about your quest to color match the top. As in, who you are using and the costs. When you get a chance can you pm me?...

Also.. are you going to the drive this Saturday?

Tobal, please do keep us updated on this. I'd also like to check it out in person sometime after it's done, if you don't mind.

Hi Tobal, juejaimon, and flaminio,
I had the top of my car color-matched and the front spoiler cross-bar painted over a year ago. Since the three of you are in the Bay Area, I would be happy to arrange sometime for us to meet up. Do you all plan to attend the Monterey/Pebble Beach drive this Saturday? If so, then I'll see you there.

Take Care,
J.

Where and how much did this cost you? Also how long did it take?

Yawwn,

I'd love to come by sometime and see your car. The next couple weeks will be pretty crazy for me, but sometime toward the end of May/beginning of June? I'll PM you then.

Sorry for the late response. I didn't have access to a computer until just now.
I was hoping that some of you would be at the drive. My dad and I just got back to San Jose from Monterey. What a breathtaking view! Unfortunately, I didn't see you there juejaimon. However, we can always meet at another time. Bob, let me know when you want to see my car. I'll be around.
93B18, I had my car painted by one of the member's brother. He owns a body shop called T & T in San Jose. He also totally repainted Brian's turbo car yellow.
You can call Thai at the shop's number... 408-998-1710. Let him know that his neighbor three houses down referred you.
It took approximately three days, but that was for the top and the front bumper.

Take Care,
J.
