Q regarding Snap Ring issue...

Looked at a 91 nsx transmisiion number J4A4-1000805. Cars with snap ring issues were:4A4-1003542 through J4A4-1005978. I assume because the number is lower than 3542 it is not affected by this issue?

It's weird though, why the snap ring issue wasnt an issue in the earlier cars, such as this one.
