Protest to Honda about NSX in Fast & Furious 2

Everyone has their opinions. There is no right or wrong but if the Fast and the Furious 2 does what it did for the Supra TT, then that is just icing on the cake. Hopefully this movie will bring more attention to our cars so people won't mistaken it for a Ferrari or some other exotic. I am sure we will all be pleased with the outcome of FF2.

kids might think its cool
but grown ups gonna think what a shame..

and face it.. NSX in FF2 arent like James bond with Vanquish and Jaguar.
James Bond brings positive image to cars and FF2 is likely the vice versa

i wouldn't bother seeing FF2, but if it has an NSX in it, i'll be first in line...

The NSX FINALLY gets the marketing it deserves 10 years late!

I hope Honda would do the same too..
FF series are making all of their cars RICED up!

I don't favor the NSX being in FF2. I certainly don't want the NSX to be associated in any way with the FF/import/ricer scene.

I agree with KenjiMR that the NSX's reputation is at stake.
Look at what the import scene has done to the Supra. I used to like it until it became associated with the punk crowd- now it is a rice rocket.
Also, look at the Lexus IS300. A great car, tarnished by a terrible rep due to the crowd that it attracted. That is why I wouldn't ever want one- it seems like it attracts all of the ghetto thugs and ricers. In fact, look at how lame the clear tail lights are- they are on Every Single riced-up car, inspired by the IS300!

Look at Bentley's. Because of P.Diddy and all of the ghetto artists, Bentleys are now increasingly associated with that image. You can't disagree with that, now can you?

There is an obvious correlation here between FF2 and the image/reputation factor.
Thanks for reading.

Hey There Tom,

Is this the same Tom that I met in Montgomery, AL (I have a 91 Red CTSC NSX)? I understand what you're saying but you have to realize that some of us grew up doing this sort of thing. Everyone has their views on their ultimate lifestyle. As you know, Lee (91 red NSX with NOS) and I used to hang out on 3rd street in B'ham, AL once in a while where the street racers gathered (remember when we went). Whether we came from a piticular area or grew up in a particular lifestyle doesn't mean that it "downgrades" the car.

I personally was disappointed when I saw other cars in FFI and not a NSX. In Japan, it is a popular stand to have a tricked-out car (not "riced-out"). This is what drives cars like the Type S, Type R etc... I respect KenjiMR's views BUT I'm for NSXs in FFII. I personnally believe (whether it's correct or not) that most cars are built to be street cars or street/track/strip cars and not JUST track cars. Why else would the cars come with AC, cruise control, radio, and other creature comforts for everyday driving? All that research and Technology that was developed for the NSX wasn't done to drive miss Daisy to and from the grocery store

(BTW, how's med school? I'm now living in Destin, Florida 850-582-5487 working on Eglin AFB. Your brother still in mobile?)

Keep in Touch,

Hey guys,
Just FYI, the NSX was in FFI for a split second at the last race and, if anyone purchased the DVD, there was a scene where the NSX is seen racing down the strip in the out takes section. However, these scenes were probably too small to even notice.

Just my 2 cents.

It's just a movie - relax!!!

You don't seriously think one movie could change over a decade of perceptions with respect to the NSX, do u? And if it did, than that is probably the same person that thinks a pig is attractive with lipstick.

The publicity would probably be more positive than negative, anyway.

No Curves, No Challenge....

Any idiot can drive fast in a straight line...

KODIAC, you're right. There was a chica driving it. I have to admit, I did see the movie in the theater and I do have the dvd. I personally liked this movie but then again I like anything that has to do with going fast.

Its the police I'm worried about not the general public. Cops watch movies too. If it gives them any additional impression that I might be a street racer weeenie... that is enough to make me mad. Cops already harass me for no reason other than them wanting to see my car up close.

Someone please email the director or anyone who is working on the movie and tell them to paint the NSX with something that is normal. That design looks horrible. The nsx doesn't look good with designs it looks better with a one color paint job. And who ever is the owner of that nsx. Shame on you, what the hell you think that car was made for, definitely not to look like that.

Please someone do it. That is sickening.

Well, IF that is the FF2 NSX then you people have nothing to worry about...no one will even recognize it as an NSX!! It looks like a sh*t covered RX7.
