I agree with you Hyuan. More awareness about the Honda mark is a good thing. Love it or hate it, more public exposure makes people buy cars, and if they buy the cars, it leaves more money for R&D for our beloved NSX.
Think about Jaguar... they did a market test with singer/songwriter STING for their S-type. They increased his exposure in their commercials and his videos included their cars. Ultimately, they both increased their sales. Jaguar increased their numbers by 25%+ and his album sales from 300,000 to 1,000,000 Plus.
another example was of Abercrombie and Fitch. Who decided it was a good idea to release a completely un-PC line of t shirts, depicting a stereotypcial satire of an asian man doing laundry. (Akin to depicting a black cartoon man eating watermellon and fried chicken). A huge "PR Nightmare" and they pulled all shirts off the racks, but in the end, sales were up that month over 30%.
Not the same thing I know.. but like I said.. as we marketing people say.. any exposure is good exposure. And if Honda can take advantage of this exposure.. then kudos to them.
