Pretty plain pic of the NSX but I just installed border trim around the garage and put in a wall outlet for the trickle charger. Very convenient. :smile:

Wow - I missed this post. Sorry for the late reply. The "Dane" contacted me via email and at first I was like "no way...", but we had a couple of back and forth conversations and the guy seemed real legit to me. We shared a passion for vintage musical instruments (he owns a multitude of vintage synths). It also helped that he was very accommodating about payment, pick up, etc.

It's a small world, but one of his stories was about being in LA around 2004, driving down the 405 and almost wrecking while trying to take a picture of a 2004 yellow NSX (his words...). I told him that my NSX was from the LA area it's whole life and was very likely the same car he admired in 2004. So fate may have played a role.

Anyway - the deal went thru without a glitch and the car is getting a lot of TLC in Copenhagen.
 
haha nice pickup! Amazing story. BTW your old car should love Copenhagen.....no bra required!!!!
 
Two rare Hondas. My Accord X 2.0T manual daily driver, “Dad Type R”, with Mr. Kaiser. Current thinking is around 1000 of these extant before Honda quit making them last December for lack of sales. This picture also belongs in the “NSX smaller than...” thread because the Accord looks like an SUV next to the NSX.

Interesting factoid: manual Accord X 2.0 weighs only 3298 pounds. 1999 NSX Targa manual weighs 3160 pounds. For a 132 pound gain, I get enough room to cart my family and our stuff all over creation, without resorting to a SUV.

I dig the Still Night Blue - would have gone with that color if it was available locally. It's a great Honda – an excellent daily driver and works well on long trips – I do regular 1000 mile trips between Texas & Arizona and eats up the highway miles with comfort and ease. Excellent observation on how light these things are, as well.

I can afford more expensive cars (I “downgraded” from an Acura TLX A-Spec), but this Accord is amazing bang for buck. Thinking about switching up for a TLX Type S or a Tesla Model 3 Performance in the spring, but if the Type S turns out to be a dud, I’ll be keeping the Accord for quite a while longer, saving a lot of $$$$ in the process.

As a Gen III TL lover (still have my trusty 04 that's been in the family since new now with 185K miles -- amazingly trouble-free and I would not hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow), I'm really frosted by the fact that the /21 TLX rear compartment is still pretty much same size as the first iteration of the TLX. If you need to carry 3 or 4 passengers in comfort, the Accord is the ticket -- the new TLX is not.

Sorry but I need a car with a proper size rear compartment and I don't want an SUV (Acura's pathetic justification for not increasing the dimensions of the back seat to a proper size apparently is that if you need room buy our SUV). My guess is that the Type S will be a very nice driving machine. However, I am not going to spend north of 50 large for a car with a useless back seat. Ugh. I'm afraid I am pretty much done with (modern) Acura. Keeping my eyes open for a minty Gen III TL with under 60K miles from a non-rust belt state and a great service history/no accidents/one owner. If anyone has one of these they want to sell (silver with light color interior -- /08 preferred) please let me know. Willing to pay top dollar. Not kidding.

I’m also a 3G TL lover, I bought an early 2004 in 2003-I was an early adopter.

As far as the new TLX, the back seat is about the same size as in the 1G TLX, that is to say, small. My Accord’s rear seats are massive. I was definitely disappointed by the TLX rear seat size.

I also strongly dislike the infotainment. All I need is a touch screen like the Accord’s, which is easy to use and fast. We’ll see how things work out for the Type S. It’s at least six months away.
 
Just got my console, vent housing and radio trim back from the body shop. They spent considerable time matching the color and doing a lot of work to make it look great. This started life as a SOS console. I installed screws to hold the shift boot and filled in the change bin area. It now looks like it belongs in the car! Big shout out to Chris at Gasper Auto Body in Huntingdon Valley PA!
