Uhhhh Nick?

Nick did you finally have the sex change operation? Wow, great results! And who did your face lift - you look decades younger than our last meeting!!!

nsxtasy, what is that black box looking thing on the bottom of the picture attached to the helmet?

Matteni, is that a 4 point? or 5 point seat belt on your stock seats? I am debating about getting racing seat with a 4 point harness. But if I can just get 4 point with stock seats and it keeps me from sliding around, I wonder if it will suffice.

Also, anyone know for any 4/5 point harness seatbelt system, what does the it bolt to? Do you need to install a bar or something behind the chairs to anchor the belts?

thanks, and forgive newbie track nut questions.

It's a Chatterbox helmet communicator, to enable the instructor (me) and student to talk and hear each other while riding together during track events. It includes a microphone and earpieces in my own helmet, and a cord to a headset that the student inserts into his/her helmet.

Where can I get one of these? Thanks in advance for your help.

All you need to do is click on the link in my post, to order from HMS Motorsport...
Wasn't paying attention to the Highlighted Link . . . :o :o Great link, thanks.

Lowest cost $100, Average cost $500, High end $1,000+, your head, priceless :D

You can get perfectly adequate SA2000 helmets in the $200-300 range.

I would be wary about buying from an on-line dealer, because it's too hard to predict how comfortable a helmet will be. Even if you take measurements, there's a good chance it won't feel right and you'll have to send it back. Been there, done that...

It is actually a 6 pt on the drivers side and a 4 point on the passenger side. The 4 point will suffice to keep you in the seat.

Something you may want to try - if you havent - is to put the seat all the way back and pull the belt tight - then very quickly - pull the belt so it locks. It takes some practice and a quick hand but you can do it in a couple trys. Then move the seat forward while holding the seat belt tight. You may be surprised how well this works and it is what I do when I get in a NSX with someone without the harness.

Good luck either way. Let me know if you have any other questions as there are advantages and disadvantages to various systems - as I have seen.

For a new SA helmet? I have never seen them that cheap.

Yes, nice art work Ken and Steven. I'll take a pic this weekend of the 03 XPO helmet I have that was so graciously donated.
