I didn't register because i wasn't driving in the track event, does anyone know about the spectator situation? I want to be there for Monday so i can make it to school on Tuesday, if i can get a ride with a pro around the track that'd be a dream come true...just sitting in one would be to be honest, at least until i turn 25 and get my own!
Ottawa members: Lemme know when you guys are going, I'll be taking one of my Acuras so I can follow you guys (I've done the drive on average once every two weeks but it'd be cool to not go alone for once)

It will be great to meet you! A ride around the track can easily be arranged with one of the instructors that day. There are some excellent drivers, and you'll be blown away by what an NSX in experienced hands can do.
Make sure you book your hotel asap as we only have 3 rooms left in our lowered rate as of last week, so I'd jump on that!

Unfortunately part of the deal is that I can't stay at the hotel, due to family politics. So i will be staying with family. They live on Woodbine and Highway 404/another house is at 401 and Warden which looking at the map is very close, so I will be shifting between the houses and the hotel.
For the track event I will leave Toronto Monday morning and since it's on my way home (Bowmanville and whatnot) i will go to the track event and then drive home afterwards so I can make it to school the next day!
But I'm most definitely in, hopefully that receipt shows up in my email.

Ibn Rushd, that's not the way to do it - you WILL regret it! Just ask Arshad who did the same 'spectator' thing a few years ago at NSXPO at Watkins Glen. He was kicking himself after his thrill ride.
I finally convinced my wife to do the track day. So there will definitely be a slower driver that you can spank (not suggesting that you're slow).
Put the fear and ego aside and sign up for the track. I hear that you can also just purchase one day at the track for 1/2 the price.

Daria is right. I went for a ride along for my first track day years ago, and wished I had my car there the whole time! Sign up for 1 day and come out!

How would the track thing work if i don't have a car though? Don't you need an NSX to actually drive it!
I will easily make the switch if I can pay for the one day, I have no qualms about doing that but without a car I don't really understand what I'm gaining here!
P.S. I'm also a pretty heavy guy (just south of 300lbs so I KNOW this will be a HUGE (no pun intended) issue..

I haven't driven manual since I had my G1 five to six years ago, and even then it was only around the block...so I'm going to have to remember all that again...however in Toronto my cousin has a manual beater so that issue will be fixed mighty fast! (I'm pretty much stealing his manual car lol to drive around and relearn it, i figure it won't take me too long to remember it all)

You don't need an NSX to participate in the track event. Bring your own car - or even a rental - Daria and I have both done that before! You'll have a blast!

Haha, I'll probably bring my own...just trying to do some persuading to my "favourite uncle" for his RL A-Spec! Otherwise I'll bring my EL. So no need to rent, but it's convincing me to come both days....you guys are going to make me go broke on my birthday, yikes guys!
Don't bring someone else's car to the track - either rent or drive your own - cars tend to make sunny noises, leak fluids and need repairs from time to time, its better that your uncle/friend/cousin/etc doesn't have your track day to blame for it...
Fair point Red. In my excitement I didn't think of that. But in all honesty, as fun as it'd be and as much as I want to, I'd never actually ask him because even though he'd say yes, I'm too scared of what could happen.
I am taking my TL for the trip though, since I maintain the four cars as it is, any issues that arise i take care of anyway so no worries there.

I am registered for Track Day on Monday...looking forward to getting back to Mosport after an absence of a few years, especially with all the NSXs.

I am so completely out of my mind with excitement that not even school has brought me down yet, despite having an assignment due every week and a test every week, along with two midterms right after and a 20% project due tomorrow.
