Nice CRX Lucas...no rust eh?
Only a few minor bits of exposed rust.
However....it is still 25 years old with over 270,000 km on the body. After taking some panels off, there is quite a bit of car cancer under there. Can't say I didn't expect it, but I'm doing my best to clean it up (remove rust, and cover with rust paint).
I'm pretty worried how this winter is going to treat it. But I didn't get it for much so I don't really have a whole lot to loose. I'll have to keep it washed.
CRXs were my first love- I had a red '91 and yellow '89.
Super fun little cars!
It's got a B16A in it, so it is
super fun. A bit of fun for a DD.
After 25 years of high school students I'm sure it's full of spunk. LOL
Luckily I got one owned by a 66 year old. He originally bought it when he was 46, so I hope he didn't hoon too bad.
That being said, he wasn't super involved. For example, I replaced most of the fluids and filters, and it looked like they hadn't been changed since the swap (10 years ago) especially the air filter, YUK!!. I'm going to look into changing the TB and WP soon too.
Enjoying it so far!
I think the best thing about it, is when I get back into the NSX I get to see how magical the NSX really is. The NSX is so much more of a car in every way.
