Kalyton I have relatives in Munchin and frankfurt, they brought the history book and model cars I have on display.

Thanks for the photos beautiful :)

My family and I went to the old Porsche Museum years ago and was a little disappointed. It was small and only featured a few cars. By comparision, the Mercedes Museum was just the opposite - huge and an abundance of historic automobiles.

I was excited to hear that Porsche was building a bigger one and judging by the pics, they've done an excellent job.

Thanks for sharing.

Well the old museum was basically a barn with one Porsche aside the other. :)

You should come over again and visit the new Mercedes museum, it's great too, not as good as the Porsche one (in my opinion) but still some fantastic cars rare cars to look at.

Nice!

Thanks for posting.

We definitely plan to. We have some older relatives in Kornwestheim and we need to visit them again before they pass. The old Mercedes Museum was great but the highlight of the trip was visiting the Ruf Factory. The whole family got to meet Alois - what a great guy.

Oh and visiting Neuschwanstein was pretty cool too. ;)

I celebrated new year in Munich. :)

Klayton is the Utrich-Austria Porsche out house during WW2 still a Museum?

eNeSeX_95T picture 13 and 15 has the Boss 924 with wide body kit and projector headlamps.

Also noticed first Silver American Roadster has the bumper stopped removed not sure why.

Hehe Kornwestheim is about 20min drive from here. Ruf is a great company, friend of mine works for them, only heard good so far. They call Alois Ruf "Papa Ruf" (dad ruf) because he takes good care about all his coworkers. I'm going to apply there too, post-graduate. ;)

Wheres all the front engine Porsches??

;)

I don't know a Utrich-Austria Museum? Sorry.

Wow! Next time I'm there, we'll have to get together. Beer is on me. ;)

Yeah, after talking to Alois for about 15 minutes, I wanted to work for him too. He told me that his new facility was built almost entirely by Ruf employees. They stopped operation of the company entirely and just built the thing. And he was just putting a Ferrari dealership across the street too.

Funny thing - I told him that I'd sat passenger on track in one of his cars, he asked me where I was from, I said Tulsa, OK, and he knew exactly who I was talking about. We started talking about the owner and Alois started telling me stories. We laughed for a few minutes. I determined, in my heart, to own a Ruf that day. :) What a wonderful person.

Great pics Klayton. Thanks!! I can't quite call myself a porschephile yet but I do have tremendous respect for the company.

I plan to come to Germany in the future to do a museum tour.

My two favorite cars in that Museum were the 993TT and 356. Two stunning cars with bodywork that make all other cars look boring. Love the rear end of the 993's...

Anyone see the 928 looking split window Porsche up above what appears to be on a ledge...weird looking hatchback.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Now that's heritage! Glad to have owned a Porsche in my lifetime.

Porsche- there's no substitute.
