Same! Although I usually only use parking break in an auto when on an incline.
Seems like there is confusion as to which gear to leave the car in based on uphill/downhill. In fact, I have had my car in 1st and reverse numerous times via valets. Most people put it into 1st. The acura dealership put it in reverse (when the nose was facing downhill).
Since I sometimes forget to disengage the gear when I release the clutch on start I usually like to put it in 1st so I don't hit something when I turn the car on... of course this is when car is backed in.
