Ive owned a 02 Nsx for just about 3 years now, and just about a month ago I bought a 97 Supra Turbo.

Other than a 93-95 Mr2, I now own my two most favorite Japanese cars, and what I consider to be the highlight of Japanese production cars in the 90's and early 00's.

Its amazing going from one car to the other. They are so radically different as far as feel of the car, feedback from the steering, throttle response, braking power, acceleration, power curves, etc.

Specs on the 02 Nsx : Dc headers, Taitec muffler, Comptech supercharged, Prodrive wheels, few other goodies 358 hp and 260 torque

Specs on the Supra: P61 single turbo, 3 inch exhaust, Greddy intercooler, etc.
Power levels at the wheels currently 430 hp and 400 torque

I love my house, but my next house BETTER have at LEAST a 3 car garage. Girlfriend doesnt like parking her car under the two pine trees that drop sap. Hehe.

awesome! now all you need is a R34 ;]

Two very nice cars....I know first hand ;)

Does the Supra have a fuel upgrade? 430 WHP seems kind of "tuned down" for a single turbo Supra. Add fuel and you should easily see over 500 RWHP :)

I love MR2s !! I always wanted one, when I was 21 insurance was 500.00 / mo. on a new one. I stuck with my 91 CRX Si (bought new) and I was paying 300.00 / month with a clean record !!!! I would love to buy one right now but I need to chill out on my spending.

It's funny to see it looks large compared to the NSX.

What are the differences in handling perspective?

No, bone stock fuel system.
Previous owner put in a P61 single turbo, as well as a HKS triple disc clutch (Rated at 1000whp!) and had a bone stock fuel system, and had the turbo at 15 psi.

Dont ask me why.

Right now, at 21 psi, power is 430/400 at the wheels. I can only imagine how poor the power output was on the dyno at 15 psi, probably something stupid like 330hp. (Shakes head)

Next step for me is to build up the fuel system, and have, just like you mentioned, somewhere over 500 at the wheels, because 430 is fun, but a Supra wont hold itself to any high standards with less than 500 at the wheels.

I too have 1st hand experience.

NSX specs-92 w/ CTSC/I/H/E/ AEM ECU, FPR, larger injectors, HKS coilovers, brembos f/r are the main components

Supra specs-94 RARE hardtop 6 spd, intake, downpipe, exhaust put down 400 rwhp...knew the hp potential but didn't there and sold it.

Supra has amazing acceleration and torque but steering felt sloppy and poor turn to turn ratio (hopped into the M3 for true handling experience-also sold)

I've always dreamed of a car w/ Supra hp/torque, NSX looks, BMW handling

good taste, nice cars, im envious. ex-supra turbo owner right here. i know what your talking about how they are different in their own excellent ways. wish i can have both like you

Awesome pics and cars.

BTW: Just a heads up, but "jap" can be considered a racial epithet by some. Just so you don't offend any business partners or anything.

+1 not a good term to use. Beautiful cars though.

I also love having both cars! So different... precision vs power and yes 500 plus is very easy for the MKIV. Your lucky:wink: Texas has some awsome tunners for the MKIV.

(A) Reach for the Sky Honky
(B) Honky?
(A) Honky is a racial epithet, used for white people. It was made popular in the 1970s by a man named George Jefferson. You see, he and his wife owned a dry-cleaning business, so they moved on up to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. They finally got a piece of the pie.

I understood the potential racial epithet when I was posting, but didnt have room to fully type out Japanese in the post.

Furthermore, doesnt help back me up much, but my family and I hosted a Japanese exchange student in 93, and then I lived with his family for a month.

Ive also gone back to Japan in 2003, and love the country.
