Gotta have the key and the pager alarm

Finally got the sub enclosure made. Went with a 1/2" plexi top to serve and protect (serves as a reflector for the bass. sounds fantastic).
since i had the plexi, i thought it might be interesting to run small leds to illuminate the rim. The box isn't the best, but it works for me.

Wow - looks like some cool/interesting mods lately. You must love your car as much as you hate your wallet! :)

I bet they will sell a bunch of NSXpo tickets just to check out your ride!

;)

James, which widebody? Pics?

Out of curiosity, what offsets did you go with?

BTW, you need to drive your car more--only 989 miles;)

that was my little 'easter egg' to see how many people paid attention.
there's A LOT more miles than that.
add about 100k.

good catch though ;)

315/25 19  that's very wide and low! What widths are you going with in the front and rear? That's going to be one hot setup..can't wait to see the pics.

sub is mounted in the passenger footwell. same as everyone else.
i'll get specs on the wheels later.
should have them on today if the other 2 come in.

How did you mount the front laser shifters? I ended up building a 3/8" titanium tubing bar that ran across the radiator opening just below the bumper. It mounts on the pair of 6M threaded brackets that sit behind the 'divider' stiffener. Works pretty well and looks cool!

Tires look PHAT! Can't wait to see pics of the rolling car!

funny that you should ask!
on the old bumper i had them mounted on brackets in the center opening.
on the new bumper, my bodyshop used super double stick and zip ties. when the dealer took off my bumper, they neglected to replace the zip ties and next thing you know i'm dragging one of the sensors down the road. sucks.
i think i caught it early enough to prevent serious damage. i took the fronts off for the time being and will re install soon. i'd like to see your technique! send pics!

Here are some pics. Damn my car is dirty, have not washed since last weekends rain, yuk. Looks so much worse in a photo!

james - some vey nice upgrades. :D

how long have you had your ZR3 shifter though?
are you using it as a stand alone unit or connecting it to another Escort product (passport 8500 etc)?

i'm just wondering how well it works and what your opinon of it is as i have thought of getting one.

thanks

Is the ZR3 shifter a laser jammer or a detector? I'm looking for a stealthy detector system for front and back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also I'm very interested inthe the Heads Up Display. Where can I get more info? How do you like it?

thanks,

Steve

ZR3 Shifter

I have been running the Escort 8500 with the ZR3. I have been happy with the set up and how clean everything looks installed. I have had a few false alarms with the Laser jammer, but no tickets.

If you are starting fresh, I would look at the Valentine. Both units test out very simular, but the Valentine has the direction arrows on it, and I have had many times where I would love to have a better idea where the police are hiding.

ZR3 is a jammer with detectors/senders front and rear.

The 8500 has a detector to tell you to stop and get your ticket:).
