Tried with a couple long Philips heads and the screw turned and started to loosen but I could not remove the parking light from the bumper. Any specific type of Philips head I need to get? Maybe my Philips heads are too wide, but the screw seems to be turning. Thanks!

Are you sure the parking light is still being held by the screw?
The screw doesn't require a lot of turns to release the fixture but it does require an abnormally long shafted Philips
The light fits quite snugly in there and when removing mine this year I found the gaskets around the light were like glue.
Try prying on the inside end of the fixture while you unscrew.
You'll feel it release when it's free

It's a captive screw. Don't expect it to come all the way out of the light assembly. Then like JD said, give it a little encouragement on the screw end of the assembly and it will come out.

I have seen tons of these things stuck, tape the outside of your paint up to protect it from your flat head screwdriver prying. add tension to the light twords the center of the car depending on which light your tring to get out.

and put long philips screwdriver in and turn at the same time prying it with the flathead. you will feel the screw giving way and the light will pop out.

remember the outter part of the light is held in by a spring bar. the ineer part is held in by the screw. so when it comes out if will be near the center of the car.

hope this helps.

The screw is on the inner side of the light, once loose, push hard on the outer side of the light to get it to pivot, so you can grab the inside edge;). Been there, done that:)

Got some time last night to mess with it and I was able to get the lights out. As you all rightly said, the screws loosened fine, it was the gasket around the light that was a tight fit. Bonus, found some dead bugs in there :). Anyways, installed LED parking light bulbs from S4Play and they are great and a big improvement. Will post some pics tomorrow. I think it is a good medium between all stock and full replacement LED parking light unit (quite costly). Thanks.

Take a look at the difference. :)
