Painting front NSX-R chassis bar

I wouldn't worry about chipping if you're having it professionally painted. You can't see it unless you're standing more than 10-15 feet away, where you'd never notice a few rock chips anyway. Suppose clear bra material would be easy to put on, but I really wouldn't worry about it.

I am going to have the front and the mirrors done with the clear bra (when i find someone to do it) so I might as well have it done also.

I spray painted mine a matte black prior to install. Mine has no chips in the paint or anything, but I can see where that may not look so great down the road a ways. If I had thought of it at the time, I would have had it black anodized. Food for thought?

How about a sheet of vinyl from a decal shop. Cheap easy to install, and you can change colors.

Painted mine semi-gloss black, since I had a can laying around. Did about 3 coats and you can see small chips in it if you look closely.

I don't think ANYONE will notice it other than yourself or other NSX owners.
