Owning an NSX is like a marriage...

Don't drive your NSX for a month. The honeymoon phase will come back when you start driving your NSX again. Having 4 kids and a wife regulates my NSX outings (do they make rumble seats for the NSX? ); therefore, every time I drive my NSX, it seems like the honeymoon phase. You can't miss your NSX until you are away from it. Then you really appreciate the NSX when your are driving it.
Well, my car has been at the shop for 5 weeks now :frown: . I wouldn't suggest not driving, it sucks.

Goofball here!

With a Long Beach Blue Pearl it's like being married to a much younger woman, no lull here.

I can check with my shop and see if they can order some extra paint for you SilverRock guys.

When they see what color your car is they may even give you a discount.  j/k

LOL! Funny!

Funny thread. I would have thought to revive the honeymoon feeling, take your car on some special trips back to the places where you first met. :D Or go to the beach, hold her steering wheel and watch a sunset together.

First, there is the courting phase in which you are passionately courting a car. Then there is the honeymoon phase where you are having tons of fun with the car. After the honeymoon phase, there is a slight lull. How do you guys get back to the original honeymoon phase? Or, does it even matter as it's just a car?

Sounds like you need a new wifey!  j/k

Owning an NSX is a lot easier than being married. Hence the reason why I still have an NSX and not a wife.

And cheaper!

Take her to a track event and listen to that motor sing...

When you get your NSX back, it will be like a second honeymoon.

I think I just found the perfect cure. If time permits, I'm going to try to make it to a couple local meets in the Bay Area and check out other NSX's!

When your so called "marriage" start to get dull, start plastic surgury:biggrin: Dress her up a little, make her already awesome internal quality even better:tongue:

I have LBBP (killer color) and all I needed was a proper exhaust to make the car what it should be. When I get a little tired of her, I will get wheels and lower her a bit and she will be all sexy again. I must say that I always fall back in love right after she has been detailed. Some folks get antsy to get something new on a regular basis and I am one of them. I just know that problem will never be cured no matter what car I currently am driving. I feel a need to look on autotrader for a Ford GT now  Maybe I need to grow up!!!.....Steve

LBBP owners are forbidden to post on this thread!! With that said, mission accomplished! Just got back from a mini meet in the Bay Area and met up with 6-7 other NSX owners. Man, it's such a cool sight to see your car drive away! Very nice to meet you Gary!

Tip #1: Buy a MiniVan and drive that daily until your fed up, and you'll go running to the NSX

Tip #2: Enter the downward spiraling addiction known as "Modding".

Tip #3: There's no hope, get a divorce. Sell you're NSX to me for a bargain.

Tip #4: Go buy a Ferrari/Lambo, after the first Repair, you'll end up like Step 1

I realize that it is just a car...but you have to remember that you own an amazing exotic that will not and does not cost as much as a lambo or a ferrari:eek: The honeymoon phase never ends and will never end for me...but for some it will - because they have a shorter attention span...lol...lol...or they love to have a car for a few years and then go onto another one...to those people I say...good luck - as most other cars have serious defects that will cost you tons of money!

Every time I see my car in the garage...and thats where it stays most of the time - I remember the first time that I saw her - the thrill...the adrenalin rush...the awe...the absolute jaw dropping awe!!

Dam:cool:

Blades I am not sure I like your negative attitude on this...

I know I know:redface:, but it's fair warning! It's my wallet that has the negative attitude. And that SOS JIC Suspension kits are burning a serious whole in my wallet:biggrin:

What is this lull you speak of?

I am not sure about this whole lull thing either - but I've only had it a little over 5 years so maybe it's not time yet.

I don't even mod it.

Of course, my definition of 'stock' has changed a little bit over the years. But you have to maintain the car right? I mean some things are just wear items, right? Right. (konis, street/track pads, new leather) Sometimes it is even smart to maintain things preventatively. Plus, as long as you are in there, you want to make sure it is done right, right? Of course you do. And it can still be 'stock' if the parts came stock on an NSX, right? You bet. (6 speed, type s springs, R bars, 97+ brakes and such). Plus of course safety items - I mean safety HAS improved since 94. Its for you AND the other people on the road. You are just being responsible. (HIDs, JDM tails) Plus, you know not everything has to be passive safety. Active safety counts too, right? Absolutely. (swaybars, headers, exhaust). So yea, right after that supercharger then I am done - and the best part is that the car will still be stock*.

I don't know what everybody has to go messing around with things for anyways. Just enjoy it stock.

You know we have left ourselves open to some goofball coming on here and telling us we are bored because the cars are silver and not that exciting LBBP, right? Nice going Sang!

Goofball #2 here. No since in me saying it since you already know..LOL The LBBP love affair never ends:biggrin:
