Without a doubt one of the best steak places in Overland Park is J. Gilberts at 92nd & Metcalf. A little pricey but worth every penny IMO.
For really good sushi try this place.

it's quite and not one of those "look at me sushi resturants" (aka Kona Grille).
If you want to try a really good BBQ place try Oklahoma Joe's it's served out of a Gas Station and is a unique experience. Theres another one in Overland park to but the original place is where you should go.
