I have a new Outlook account for work. I'm not always in front of a computer and I'd like to set up forwarding to my Gmail account that I get on my phone. I've never used Outlook before. I tried to Google the answer, but it appears there are certain rules to set up that I'm just not getting. How do I set it up so anything that is sent to my Outlook inbox will forward to my Gmail account? Can someone dumb it down for me? Thanks in advance guys.

If you have an iPhone, why not just sync your Exchange/Outlook account. Forwarding will cause you to handle every message twice. (not recommend) Sync will stream line everything. IPhone handles Exchange mail very well.
On the iphone just set up your Exchange account credentials. and that is it.

Sorry, I have an HTC 4G.

Thanks for the help? What if it's a shared computer? I don't always use the same one. It could be one of a dozen or so in different offices. Does that matter?

are you on roaming profiles?

I mean does your desktop follow you from computer to computer?

Does your Outlook connect to an Exchange server (check with your IT dept)? If so, it's a fairly simple matter to set up your phone to check your email.

Don't do the "forward to Gmail" business. It's a kludge, and while it sounds logical, it will cause more trouble than it's worth.

But seriously, call your company IT guy. He's probably set up a hundred Android phones, and knows the exact settings you'll need.

Just putting it out there, in most companies, if you forwarded your email to your gmail you would be fired, and maybe sued.
I would get it in writing that you're allowed to.

+1 Try Touchdown for Exchange its $20

x2. The only way to keep corporate email encrypted on android right now.
