Looks like another gear install by the BARNMAN. Barney does awesome work! My car is there now getting the comptech powergrip 2 and 4:55 gear.

The red widebody looks amazing in person. More pics?

I've got a few more pictures I will post tomorrow. When did you drop your NSX off with Barn? I just got my car back on Friday night...

Who's red one?

John McCain Racing -
I dropped it of wed afternoon. The shop was full! Your car was there, Creighton's porsche and widebody nsx was also there. Barney said he would put mine in his dads private gagage until a bay was open. **Big props to the Barnman**;)

Ah cool. I have to say, that is the first time I have seen evidence of 2 NSXs in the same place in TN. The Shop looks like it is coming along great. As soon as all my goodies get in, I'll be taking a roadie up there too.

Which Exedy did you put in and how do you like it?

Hello all,
These are pics that I took of John McCains tranny job. During the final part of the install of the diff, I did lapse a little with taking pics, but it slipped my mind. I had my mind on the job instead of the pics. Oh well. But you get the idea of what goes on during the install here. It's kinda hard to take pics of everything that goes on. I didn't take pics of the measurments between gears and synchros, but again, you get the idea.

Big thanks to John for letting me work on his baby, it was a strong car before the new diff, ( 4.40 r/p comes with it ).
Just a note for all the guys who install one of these on their car, if you have a sensor for your diff speed, you'll need to space the pick up away from the case a little if the ring gear doesn't have an indention for the pickup like the stock ring gear does. Ask me how I know.
Also, Exedy is working on making their clutch a little more user friendly after my phone call to them. They apparently had no idea that there were two different throw out bearings in NSX's and that the later model flywheel bolts were longer. Now they know.
The throw out bearing fits VERY tight in the pressure plate. You have to actually pull it through the fingers with a bearing puller. Again...ask me how I know.

Thanks for the pics post John,
Thaks for the props Johnny!

That was the last one I had that you took...glad to see that you finally rang in! I'm glad you put the 6 gear in too because 5th is not enough already....

This picture was taken on his way to the shop before the work. John's car is a 97 with no cats. I give you one guess why the light is on! Were you in 4th when you took the pic John

Barn

I wish! That was 5th...

John
