Old/New NSX running at Goodwood Festival of Speed?

I heard the new one is running for sure, but no word on when.

you mean 3rd generation

3.0L, 3.2L, and new one what ever the engine may be. it will be the third body style

pop-up lights 1st gen 91-96 3.0L 5-speed
pop-up and fixed lights second gen 1997-2005 3.2L 6-speed
new nsx 3rd gen

cant argue with facts.

I think it's silly to call the 97-05 NSX "2nd Generation". Does that mean a 97 auto (NA1) is still 1st Gen? What about an 02-05 auto? It's got bug eyes but it's still an NA1, so is it a Gen 1.5?

Don't mind him. He's been campaigning to change the nomenclature of the NSX 2.0 for the last month or so. It's silly and most just ignore the weird rant.

From what I understand, the NSX 1.0 and NSX 2.0 will be running on Sunday.

NSX 2.0.

This begs the question, do you want to be known as Shawn 1.0 or 2.0? :)

Ha Ha ... as a newbie who's owned an NSX for less than a year and literally knows nothing, I thought long and hard what to call the "New" NSX in my posting ... but decided to go with what the actual NSXPrime forum is called. I think from now on I'll just call it the Hybrid or the New One.

So apparently it's Senna's 1st gen ("The Popups One AKA the Best One") and it's being tied in with the F1 portion. Shame they don't publish a schedule or a programme. Right now it seems to be a bunch of people on bicycles doing jumps.

From UK Magazine the NSX will only be on display at Goodwood and not doing the famous hill climb were other manufactures show off their current and concepts.

Another major let down...

It’s one of the biggest events in the British motorsport diary and this year racing legends, celebrities and thousands of motorsport fans will indulge their love of motors at the annual Goodwood of Speed Festival.

Honda is showcasing its illustrious motorsport history and winning heritage at this year’s Festival.

The famous Honda RA272 - the car used in the 1965 F1 season, and the Honda powered McLaren MP4/4 F1 car driven by Ayrton Senna in 1988 will take on the Goodwood Hill climb.

The NSX supercar and new Civic Type R concept models will also be on display.

Visitors to the Honda stand will also experience an interactive gaming challenge and even got to ride a selection of the company’s latest off-road motorcycles on a specially created course just next to the famed Goodwood Hillclimb.

Wow come on Honda get it together. I wonder what happened?

Just not digging it in the semi-Type-R scheme.

... and those awful wheels!

The fact that they have no running prototype and bagged xpo involvement pretty much puts nsx 2.0 at 2016 at the earliest.

smh!

I just don't see how you have 3 body styles and still call it 2.0

ignore me all you want that's OK pony " no parts for you and no soup "

If you cant say/see that there are 3 different styled cars in this picture then there are no known meds that can help, did I spell anything wrong in my sentence?

I think i agree with the other as the new nsx is considered second gen. the reason for this is because the fixed headlight nsx was just a face lifted model. The facelifted model carries the exact same body lines as the first generation

If you look at the s2000 its the same. AP1 and AP2 , differnce was light change and body kit. This is still considered the first generation S2000 as there was never a second generation. The ap2 however can be called the kouki model or the 1.5gen

240sx are the same. if you look at s14 there is the zenki and kouki both are just face lifted version and still stayed in the same generation.

Nsx probably has it worst since it was a 91 model all the way to a 2005! but i would still call it first generation as it was mainly a facelift and a updated model. Chassis wise it was mainly the same minus minor tweaks here and there

New NSX at Goodwood

I don't think the car ran at the festival since I doubt it is ready yet but here is a vid with it(might be the car from the Tokio show last year) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/wDmvU19HPts" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
