oil pressure sending unit

Hey Primers, I just replaced my old failing oil pressure sending unit with the upgrade from SOS and am perplexed. The old one would read zero at idle and climbed with rpm's. I've got the new one installed and I'm getting nothing at all. Instructions were followed well, but the old mount had an arrow pointing upward where the new one has no indication of which way it's supposed to be oriented. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem and Chris diagnosed it while we were both at NSXPO 2010. It turned out that some Hondabond-like material had migrated into the sensor and after it was cleaned out, it started producing readings again. Not sure where it came from other than maybe when the original sensor block was removed from the head. Trying taking the sensor off and check the inlet hole for blockage.
